Hand osteoarthritis (OA) is a degenerative condition involving one or more joints of the thumb and fingers.

Plantar Fasciitis

Plantar fasciitis is common and charcterised by pain in the heel.

Costochondritis (or ‘a pain in the ribs’)

Costochondritis is a painful condition where there is inflammation of the costochondral junctions (the attachments of the ribs to the breastbone or sternum.) It is diagnosed by symptoms (there is no specific test.)

Coccyx Pain

The coccyx is a triangular­shaped bone located at the base of the spine. It is possible to fracture, dislocate or bruise the bone. Coccyx injuries occur more commonly in women because the pelvis is wider (so the coccyx is more exposed).

Hand and Foot pain/stiffness

The most common musculoskeletal problem seen at Angel Yard Osteopaths is low back pain, followed by neck and shoulder pain. However, osteopaths also treat limbs as well as backs.

Peripheral neuropathy or ‘pins and needles’

Peripheral neuropathy (or ‘pins and needles’) is commonly seen in the clinic.
