Pub of The Month The Curzon Arms
With bags of tradition and charm The Curzon Arms is a good old-fashioned village pub with a  contemporary feel. We love it. All the boxes are ticked: wood burning stoves, traditional bar area, wooden floors, large terrace and lawned beer garden, lounge bar and restaurant, real ales, seasonal British food and most importantly, a very warm welcome.
Situated in the centre of Woodhouse Eaves, this granite-built pub set back from the road is the place where the locals drink. Formerly an old coaching inn called the Admiral (no one knows why), the pub is said to be over 350 years old but has been much modified over time.

We visited The Curzon Arms on Friday 1st December 2023. The pub was beautifully decorated for Christmas and upon entrance you are greeted by a roaring fire, perfect for a frosty December Day.
We were attended to immediately and shown to a comfortable and cosy seat. First impressions were that we were welcomed, warm and cosy.
The garden area outside also looked beautiful and I can imagine a lovely setting for a summer’s day.
We ordered and were given our drinks promptly and presented with the menus.
Nicola and Claire both decided on the Soup of the Day, Parsnip, Apple and Thyme with a warm mini loaf, and Netherend Farm butter from the specials menu and I had the Fish Finger Sandwich which was Beer-battered haddock, baby gem, tartare sauce, on white or brown farmhouse bread served with fries.
The ladies thoroughly enjoyed their soup especially the mini loaf and butter and Nicola actually requested a second loaf. My sandwich was very tasty and filling.
We finished off with coffee and Nicola had a delicious mango sorbet very refreshing.
Our bill came to £37 including drinks
