Headway Charity Fundraising Ball 2023

HEADWAY LOGO RGB 300DPI 1536x514 1

In September, Headway held their Annual fundraising Ball, attended by Trustees, Sponsor’s, staff and patients. In attendance were Nelsons, Shoosmiths, Affinity Law, The Big Difference, Academy for Dementia Research, Tracey Mather Wealth Management and Headway Derby. We at Soar Valley life were delighted to also receive an invitation to cover the event.

Set at the stunning Winstanley House in Leicester, guests were treated to welcome drinks, a delicious three course meal and entertainment from The Dirty Carpet band.

The event organised by Tor Berry and hosted by Reg Perrin included a silent auction, raffle and auction of a Squire Strat guitar signed by Kasabian which was presented to the winning bidder by Kasabian guitarist Tim Carter.

The winning bid of £1700 for the guitar helped towards Headway achieving well over their £10’000 target for the night which will go towards their Community Outreach work covering Leicester City, Leicestershire County and Rutland County.

We also heard inspirational speeches from brain injury survivor Sophie Adcock and Occupational Therapist Angela Gordon. Former footballer Muzzy Izzet was also at the event to the delight of Sophie who had a photo taken with her hero.

The guests then danced the night away with music from The Dirty Carpet band who played music from Frankie Valli, ABBA, Adele, Amy Winehouse and the Killers.  They kept the party going and a full dancefloor all evening.

The quality of the musicianship and vocals was stunning.
